Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh is showing two exhibitions, by John Bellany and John Busby.

John Bellany: Anchored in Time examines the profound, evocative works of the renowned Scottish artist, showcasing his unique ability to weave past with present, tradition with transformation: visual narratives in dialogue with the passage of time.

John Busby RSA RSW SWLA (1928-2015) focuses on the celebrated avian artist’s distinctive landscape paintings and celebrates his lifelong passion for panoramic vistas and ‘bird’s-eye’ views, captured throughout his prolific career.

Both artists shared a strong connection with East Lothian – Bellany having been born in Port Seton and Busby having settled in Ormiston.
