Winter Selection at Gallery Q in Dundee features new paintings in various media by a number of regular artists and newcomers such as landscape and floral painter Lesley Skeates (whose work is pictured); Lesley uses palette knives and thick oil paint, working at speed directly from nature to capture fleeting moments of light, weather or tide. Also new to the Gallery are ceramicists Maralyn Reed-Wood and Roger Lewis (who for 20 years was Senior Lecturer in Ceramics at Bradford College of Art) and glass artist Helen Stephen.
