The Scottish hospitality industry’s next generation are putting local food and drink centre stage at an event later this month. Treat is a student-led food and drink festival at Edinburgh College’s Granton campus on Thursday 27 March from 4pm to 8pm. The students from the college and the East Lothian Tourism and Hospitality Academy will prepare a selection of tasty dishes for sampling and there will be top quality products for sale. There will also be live cooking demonstrations from Edinburgh College staff and invited chefs, including Neil Forbes, chef director of Cafe St Honoré. Any money raised will go to Edinburgh College’s charity of the year, St Columba’s Hospice.
