What makes this restaurant very special is that chef/owners Paul and Lisa Wedgwood are so involved. This is reflected in their modern seasonal Scottish-with-a-twist-menu which acknowledges it is not an easy decision whether to opt for a starter from the new autumn menu of Skye Langoustine with braised pork or the pink grapefruit, spring onion and sorrel…. so Paul and Lisa suggest you buy yourself some time and have a glass of Blanc de Blancs or R de Ruinart champagne with the canapés of the day. Then back to the menu to weigh up the main course flavour combos of sesame and soy glazed sea trout with lobster and black bean nori roll or butternut squash and spinach rotolo. Puddings are gorgeously indulgent – sticky toffee pudding is very sticky. It comes as no surprise Wedgwood has been shortlisted for Scotland’s Favourite Fine Dining Restaurant in the Entertainment and Hospitality Awards 2015.
