Featured artist at the Flat Cat Gallery in Lauder is June Bell, whose work is inspired by her garden and her surroundings in the Scottish Borders. A native of Hawick and an NHS doctor, she studied at Leith School of Art and works mainly in oil and wax and, more recently, oil pastels. She also enjoys portraiture, her daughter being her main muse.
