Until 6th September
Edinburgh’s Upright Gallery is hosting Precipitous City – an unusual exhibition encapsulating how writer Robert Louis Stevenson and the members of bound : unbound view the city of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh-based group, comprising Felicity Bristow, Liza Green, Susie Leiper, Lynda Wilson and Susie Wilson is showing artist books and wall works reflecting the each of the artists’ diverse practices – printmaking, painting, lettering, installation and textiles.
The works reflect the artists’ interests, ranging from Edinburgh’s fine architecture and examples of lettering, to the medical world, plants and herbal medicines, and a pervading spirit of place.
