The international art and performance festival UNFIX returns to Scotland for a three-week virtual lineup of events combining art, ritual, dance, film, music, debate, and workshop. The festival’s hallmark is innovation, responding to ecological crisis and renewal through the lens of social, cultural, political, environmental and personal transformation. Having begun in Glasgow in 2015, the festival now boasts simultaneous sister events in New York, Tokyo and Bologna: this is its sixth annual edition, in digital format this year, bringing together artists from Scotland, the UK, United States, Italy, Japan, Germany, Mexico and beyond.
The central theme is examination of human relationships with the natural world and exploring how these have changed throughout the pandemic, and calling its audiences to action to stand up to the climate crisis.
