Edinburgh’s Torrance Gallery is showing 2 Man Show with Andy Cross & Eddie Potts – a joint exhibition featuring two contacting talents. Andy Cross is a gallery favourite, known for his extraordinary colour palettes, working in landscapes and still lifes. Based near Biggar, Andy is known as ‘a veritable hero of Scottish contemporary Colourist painting’.

He is joined by Eddie Potts, who works in contrasting style, in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. Eddie, who was shortlisted for 2020’s New Light prize exhibition, showcasing the best of Northern Artists, is drawn to painting familiar objects and items with ‘an unwavering eye and a warmth towards the subject, however humble, conveyed by his love of painting.’ 

The Gallery supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing artworks more affordable through payment by instalments.
