Hangar Art & Framing, in Fenton Barns, East Lothian is exhibiting two artists who show Scotland in different ways.
Sheena Phillips paints mostly Scottish landscapes and cityscapes as well as floral studies. She has often shown with the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and has frequently represented Scotland at Fabriano in Acquarello in Italy. She says: ‘I am inspired by changing shapes, bursts of colour and scents. Sometimes I don’t know how the painting will turn out, as the changes in light can excite a memory and take me down a different path.’

Janet McCrorie’s instantly-recognisable paintings of swirling, kilted dancers evoking the frenzy of a Scottish ceilidh have been reproduced on prints and cards and her work is available in many galleries throughout Scotland.
