The Tweedbank Art Group, which comprises over forty artists from around the Scottish Borders, is staging an exhibition in Melrose comprising works in oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, pen and ink. The group, which has been meeting since 2000, has grown steadily to include a variety of skilled artists, who enjoy painting with friends. Halina Adams, the group’s chair, says, ‘Each person works on their own skills during the weekly meeting on Thursday afternoons at Tweedbank Community Centre, but a variety of different tutorials are planned from time to time for members to develop their abilities.’
