Henry Vaughan’s exceptional bequest to the National Galleries of Scotland in 1900 – a set of 38 radiant watercolours by celebrated English painter Joseph Mallord William Turner, will not be displayed in its usual home this year, due to Covid restrictions. However, the Galleries are encouraging people to explore the world of J M W Turner during January through an online collection of essays, image galleries and short films, for a fascinating insight into his work, some of which can be viewed in detail, and focusing on Turner’s relationship with Scotland.
