Tron Theatre | God of Carnage | 7.45pm, March 9 – 25

Yasmina Reza’s award winning examination of liberal values and the raw emotions underlying ‘civil’ discussion makes its Scottish debut at the Tron this week. When two boys get in to a fight at the public park their parents decide to meet up and chat about the spat in a composed and balanced manner. However, it doesn’t take long for the façade to drop as the adults go head to head in defence of their offspring and personal beliefs.

The show originally won a Tony Award for ‘Best New Play’ and Olivier Award for ‘Best Comedy’ in 2009. This version stars Colin McCredie, Anita Vettesse, Lorraine McIntosh and Richard Conlon. It was translated from French by Christopher Hampton and directed by Gareth Nicholls.
