For its Festival Exhibition, Edinburgh’s Torrance Gallery has once again packed the gallery with a mix of regularly-featured artists alongside a selection of new names, including Mary Liddell, (whose great-great-grand aunt was the original Alice in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland), showing her impressionistic work for the first time in Scotland, the award-winning figurative painter Alex Dewars, and Rupert Peploe (whose work is pictured), a relative of the famed Scottish Colourist S J Peploe. During this exhibition art is sold ‘off the wall’, so there is no need to wait until the end of the show to take your purchase home.
