Tatha Gallery at Newport-on-Tay, has brought together Delia Baillie, Louise Ritchie and Georgia Rose Murray in a three-person exhibition, On Time, showcasing the three artists’ approach to the medium of paint. The exhibition follows a collaborative project the three artists undertook in 2019 with students of Contemporary Art Practice from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, that became a springboard for further collaboration and development of their techniques. The display focuses on examining the ‘dialogue’ between artist and paint, and between paint and surface over the passage of time – the painting process being much more than the action of brushing, incorporating mental and instinctive processes in tandem with the eye and light.
