In a great example of cultural teamwork, Scottish Opera, Citizens Theatre and Scottish Ensemble have joined forces to create a month-long outdoor festival of live theatre, music and opera. Taking its name from Scottish Opera’s Production Studio car park at 40 Edington Street in Glasgow, Live at No. 40 will include the company’s new production of Verdi’s Falstaff, Kurt Weill’s The Tsar Has His Photograph Taken and three lunchtime concerts by the orchestra, while the Citizens Theatre presents a new production of Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors and Scottish Ensemble perform Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The temporary outdoor venue has theatre-style seating for audiences of around 150.
