Edinburgh’s Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture (RSA) has kicked-off its 2022 programme with three events:
its Academicians’ Gallery is displaying present a selection of limited-edition prints by its Academicians, including work by Ade Adesina, Barbara Rae, Elspeth Lamb, Arthur Watson and Ian McKenzie Smith. The work is for sale at affordable prices.
Iron: Translating Territories is curated by Academician Gordon Munro RSA, assembling a group of pan-European group of artists, each responding to the place of iron in our lives, and its use as an artistic medium. As well as Gordon, exhibitors include Pawel Czekanski, Clare Flatley, Rachel Nolan, Ewan Robertson, Oana Stanciu, and Michal Staszczak.
In the Finlay Room and Members’ Lobby of the Academy’s Lower Galleries, R3SEARCH: RSA Awards in Focus exhibits the work of 2020 RSA award winners: John Brown (the winner of the RSA William Littlejohn Award for Water-based Media), Sekai Machache, (winner of the RSA Morton Award for Lens-based Media), and Hannah Paterson (winner of the RSA David Michie Travel Award).
The Academy is also calling for artists and architects to submit work for its 2022 Open Exhibition, with a deadline of 6th February.
