Artist Damian Callan‘s new exhibition includes thirty new collage pieces, drawings and paintings for sale, with the artist demonstrating his collage technique on what he describes as a ‘giant’ scale over the three days, which he will record and link to his website.
Born in London, Callan trained as a scientist before moving to Edinburgh to work with people with learning disabilities. While studying Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, he began painting bathers in the wave machine at Leith Waterworld. Trips to the west coast of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides provided rich material, such as children battling waves on a beach. He also offers online painting and drawing courses and has a series of instructional videos. Details on private views, artist’s tour, artist’s talk and video can be viewed on his website and a catalogue of the exhibition is available.
