The Scottish Gallery Edinburgh: Wendy Ramshaw

Wendy Ramshaw - Plan in a Gold Circle, 18ct yellow gold

Online until 31st May

The Scottish Gallery has created an online tribute to one of the world’s finest contemporary jewellers – Wendy Ramshaw CBE, RDI (1939-2018). Represented in over 70 public collections worldwide, Ramshaw was a champion of modern jewellery; the Gallery was a platform for her many projects and ideas, and has delved into its collection as well as her family’s archive to share some of her personal letters and notes, to reveal insights into some of her major projects such as Picasso’s Ladies, Prospero’s Table and Journey Through Glass.

On show is a special blog, which will be released in three parts, allowing viewers to discover more about her life and work in her words, and a special online catalogue can be viewed and purchased. Additionally, a video grants us further insight into the artist and her work.
