The Lookout by Gardener’s Cottage: Hogmanay

As the year draws to a close, what better way to celebrate new beginnings than by joining the festivities at The Lookout – an exciting new partnership between Edinburgh restaurant The Gardener’s Cottage and Collective, the organisation that has redeveloped the City Observatory site on Calton Hill into an incredible new contemporary art hub.  Built on a cantilever, the restaurant is partially suspended over Calton Hill’s northwest slope, meaning The Lookout by Gardener’s Cottage floor to ceiling glass windows offer panoramic views across Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.

On Hogmanay, in prime location to enjoy Edinburgh’s famous fireworks, guests can expect a wonderful journey through eight impeccable courses with paired wines whilst taking in spectacular panoramic views across Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth and beyond.  The evening will Start with a glass of champagne on arrival, leading on to an gourmet eight course meal paired with wine before finishing with delicate petits fours.  As midnight approaches, guests will make their way outside to experience the breath-taking city-skyline views from the terrace as Edinburgh prepares to ring in the new year.
