As part of the celebrations around the 150th anniversary of the birth of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, designer Marie O’Connor has created Wear CRM, an interactive installation at The Lighthouse in which the public can participate in a hands-on exploration of Mackintosh’s textile patterns and architectural motifs. Beyond the rose and the teardrop icons, Mackintosh’s lesser-known design vocabulary was explored during a weekend workshop, the results of which are displayed alongside existing objects in the permanent collection at the Mackintosh Interpretation Centre.
