Sandra Marrs and John Chalmers: The Graphic Novel World of Metaphrog at the Park Gallery in Falkirk’s Callendar House features work from the duo’s comics and graphic novels created over their 27-year career. In all there are over 55 pieces of original art, prints and artefacts, including process pages, scripts and sketchbooks as well as short videos. Some of the art is for sale and the Callendar House shop also has a selection of graphic novels and prints. There is also a limited-edition catalogue. Sandra and John say, ‘Graphic novels are an exciting and vibrant art form at the cross-over between literature and painting. Their composition is similar to film and perhaps more so to music. All the elements and parameters work together to create an explosion of meanings.’
