Ever wondered what our crime writers like to eat and drink? Is it a killer cocktail, human black pudding or death by chocolate? Well, as part of the Bloody Scotland crime writing festival which returns to Stirling on 13 to 15 September, there’s a chance to find out. The Killer Cookbook is full of recipes donated by crime writers – including Val McDermid, Stuart MacBride, Mark Billingham and Ian Rankin. As Sunday afternoon entertainment, some of its contributors will wrestle with cooking live while being ordered about by the book’s editor Caro Ramsay, author of the Blood of Crows.
