2020 shows: 1st October – 1st November

The Enchanted Forest is set amidst the magical Autumn woodland of Faskally Wood in Highland Perthshire. This multi-award winning event, which in 2018 attracted over 80,000 visitors to the area, has not disappointed this year, with its Cosmos theme.

Arriving in Pitlochry, a truly picture-perfect town, you will be swept away on a bus to a magical world of light and forest adventure. Make sure you leave plenty of time to find a parking spot before you board the bus. Your ticket will have a specified time and you won’t want to miss your slot! Your ticket to the event includes the coach shuttle service. Fear not, as there is ample room under the coaches to store foldable buggies and carriers and babies can easily travel on their parents’ laps. There are also accessibility buses that can be arranged prior to your visit and disabled parking on site is also an option.

Once dropped off you are left to explore the forest, with specified paths that you are asked to follow for health and safety reasons. After a few minutes of exploring, you’ll be greeted by a welcome food stand with lots on offer (pizzas, burgers and marshmallows will await!). A storytelling yurt is located near the benches meaning that your kids can be entertained while you enjoy a hot beverage.

With the theme being Cosmos, all visitors were encouraged to look up to the sky through the tree canopy and be captivated by the cosmos, with a series of transfixing lights and sound displays. The stunning light and sound llusions created a wonderful atmosphere that transported vistors straight into the universe.

The Enchanted Forest Community Trust has also announced that its three official charity partners for this year’s event – PKAVS, Bumbletree Conservation Trust and Guide Dogs Scotland (Perth Branch) – have each received a donation of £5,000 from funds raised by the show’s ticket sales.

The dates for the 2020 show are 1st October – 1st November 2020. If you’ve missed out this year, head here to get tickets for 2020.
