Woodlands & Wonder at Colinton Arts in Edinburgh is a two-woman exhibition featuring Rosie Playfair’s signature majestic trees and Stephanie Pijper’s paintings inspired by the Japanese practice of kintsugi (golden joinery), whereby broken porcelain is repaired with seams of gold as a metaphor for rebirth. Both artists are graduates of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, celebrating the wonder of nature, renewal and the power of our imaginations.
