From its Musselburgh, East Lothian base, The Brunton is presenting a series of three concert, ‘streamed as live’, in partnership with the Lammermuir Festival and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, allowing music-lovers to enjoy concerts in their homes. Brunton Classical Online follows the recent trend since lockdown began of audiences to accessing online concerts by top-flight musicians, and promises a series of uplifting lunchtime hour-long concerts, which allow the option to view the concerts multiple times for 2 weeks from the starting date. The first concert, on 23rd February is by veritable musical shooting star Maurizio Reyes’ Piano Rhythms: Maurizio has been giving BBC Broadcasts while still a student at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and his programme will comprise Bach, Brahms, Granados and Bartok. The 2nd 2nd March will see The Resol String Quartet’s concert Prodigies Grow Up and on 23rd March The Magic of Mendelsohn, bringing together violinist Abigail Young, Cellist Balazs Renczes, and pianist Graeme McNaught.
