Catriona Campbell, Gwen Adair and Andrew Adair (two painters and a ceramic artist) are taking the opportunity to exhibit together, not having done so hitherto. In addition to being from the same family, they share the perspective that skill and craftsmanship should underpin creativity, achieved their results through expertise and love of materials as well as the act of making, and connecting. Glasgow School of Art graduate Catriona is well-known for her figurative paintings and portraits, of her daughter Gwen Adair among others, who learned much from her, also studying at Glasgow School of Art and taking up painting. Andrew studied ceramics at Glasgow School of Art and met Gwen on a foundation course in Carlisle, and the couple went on to marry.

The Gallery has new work from a variety of new and established artists, showing alongside the above. It supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing artworks more affordable through payment by instalments.
