31st August – 28th September
One of Scotland’s leading contemporary art galleries, the Tatha Gallery in Newport on Tay, Fife, is in a beautifully restored Georgian building known as The Newport. The gallery focuses on Scottish contemporary art, showing time honoured, established artists and emerging talent. The painting, printmaking and sculpture on display, along with its location on the south bank of the beautiful Tay river, make for an interesting and exciting visit.
The gallery’s Autumn programme, Discovery, brings a change of focus to the gallery, stepping away from paint for the time being and showing a new trio of Angie Lewin, Alex Malcolmson, and Jane Keith, whose printmaking, box constructions and printed textiles hold similar sympathies for the rhythms, stories and finer details of their surroundings.
