In the Round is the first major exhibition in the UK of Angelica Mesiti, who enjoys a reputation as one of the leading Australian artists of her generation. Through sound, performance and video installations based on collections from the University’s collections, the show leads us on a ‘dynamic journey’ extending through historical painting, ancient musical notation, geological specimens and musical instruments, reflecting the struggle of communities to co-exist. In an expansive exhibition combining contemporary concerns with historical research, Mesiti allows ancient objects to re-materialise in new work. Admission is free.
