Ormus, in Aberdour in Fife, is hosting a one-day dry-point workshop with multidisciplinary artist Lindsay Grime, who will lead attendees through the full process of creating beautiful dry-point etchings, using Tetrapak bottles and pasta rollers as printing plates – things found about the house and in the recycling – equipping us to create our own prints at home.

The event is suitable for anyone over ten years old, but anyone under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult. Refreshments will be available.

On Fife’s coastal path, Ormus gallery and shop was originally a butcher and poulterer, with original features having been retained, including its cast-iron spiral staircase, rails and hooks, and art nouveau wall tiles. The owners have aimed to create a fresh and accessible atmosphere in the gallery space akin to a ‘New York museum shop, with chilled music and expressive conversations about art’.
