A new summer exhibition has begun at Maisie & Mac in Cupar, running until 9th October. The gallery has a wide range of prints, ceramics, textiles, paintings, metalwork, woodwork, glass and jewellery, but the main featured artists are Jenny Moran, Pat Beveridge and Shed Heaven – Kay Anderson.
Based in Fife, Jenny is part-time scientist and part-time artist, using acrylic paint to capture colourful meadow landscapes inspired by her own garden and the surrounding area. She has drawn and painted all her life but more seriously in the last eight years and has sold worldwide. Also Fife-based, Pat (whose work is pictured) studied for a City & Guilds Certificate in Stitched Textiles, going on to graduate from Edinburgh College of Art and develop an exciting style in large-scale acrylics and machine and hand-stitched embroidery landscapes inspired by islands and coast. Kay is based in Cupar and works in fused glass. The exhibition features large pieces but the gallery is to have smaller work from her on an ongoing basis in its shop.
