Edinburgh’s Summerhall is mounting Out of Sight Out of Mind – an ambitious multimedia exhibition showcasing artworks by more than a hundred exhibitors who have experience of mental health issues. With mental wellbeing having been discussed as never before in the past eighteen months, the exhibition – returning for its ninth year – now has even more relevance to audiences.
Showing paintings, drawings, prints, films, sculptures, and installations at Summerhall and on the Out of Sight Out of Mind website, the aim is to create a space where people affected by mental health issues can find a community, and their voices shared and heard.
An online launch is planned for Tuesday 12th October at 6pm, and among the supporting events is a meet-the-exhibitors afternoon, Tuesday 26th October.
