I love cafes and coffee and my most recent discovery in the heart of Glasgow’s West End is Epicures of Hyndland Cafe and Restaurant. I can’t resist Eggs Benedict and they have built up a reputation for this wonderful mix of muffin, Parma ham – not bacon- and Hollandaise sauce, Coffee is brilliant – from Glasgow-based roasters Matthew Algie and the Darwin blend from Peru, Honduras and Ethiopia is rich strong and not bitter.
Epircures is a great split level building with vast windows and stylish decor. Food is served all day and the bar area boasts a wide range of beers, wine and cocktails suitable for any occasion.
Epircures has a new Pre Theatre is available Sunday to Thursday from 5pm-7pm, for a delicious meal at a great price, all home made with fresh ingredients.
