This year’s digital Glasgow Jazz Festival covers a spectrum of genres, including jazz, blues, soul, funk, R&B, electronic and world music. Arts and music venue Saint Luke’s will host a series of special performances by emerging and established jazz musicians.
Highlights include the multi-award-winning Fergus McCreadie Trio following this year’s release of their second album, the Laura MacDonald Quartet, fronted by the leading Scottish saxophonist and composer, and the Glasgow collective corto.alto, led by trombonist Liam Shortall (pictured). All three acts will premiere a new piece of music specially commissioned by the festival. The weekend concludes with the award-winning jazz vocalist Georgia Cecile and Mama Terra, saxophonist Konrad Wiszniewski and a new musical collaboration between Scottish musician, composer and producer Marco Cafolla.
Performances will be available to view on demand for seven days following broadcast.
