Part of Scotland’s Winter Festivals 2020, St Andrew’s Fair Saturday 2020 takes place across Scotland, with organisations presenting cultural events of all kinds, including concerts, exhibitions, dance shows, workshops in a celebration of St Andrew’s Day. 2020 is its third edition, and as part of Falkirk Community Trust’s contribution, Hippodrome Silent Film Festival (aka HippFest) is presenting the 1915 film Filibus: The Mysterious Air Pirate (1915) online on Saturday 28th November at 8pm.

The screening will be accompanied by two of HippFest’s long-standing musical accompanists – Jane Gardner (piano) and Hazel Morrison (percussion), with an introduction by President of the Association of Moving Image Archivists Dennis Doros, with all proceeds going to support the Hippodrome, Scotland’s oldest cinema, and home to HippFest.
