Gallery Q Dundee is hosting Abstraction with featured artist Siobhan O’Hehir, showing many different aspects of abstraction in art, with a group of five artists exhibiting alongside Siobhan – Irene McCann, Dionne Sievewright, Louise Scott, Fergus McLachlan and William Philp. Originally from the West of Ireland, O’Hehir lives and paints in Ancrum in the Borders. She trained in Fine Art at the University of Ulster, gaining her Masters in Fine Art at Newcastle. She is inspired by her love for the outdoors rock-climbing, creating genuinely-abstracted impressions of the landscape’s shapes and colours.
Coming up at the Gallery: 21st Nov to 23rd Jan Winter 2020, with featured artist Hilke MacIntyre. The Gallery’s usual ranges of glass, ceramics and jewellery, are available to view and buy, alongside jewellery, ceramics and glasswork; the Gallery supports the Own Art finance scheme.
