In Everything In Between at Resipole Studios Fine Art Gallery near Acharacle, Argyll, Helen Glassford shows a selection of abstract landscape paintings from her travels to some of the most remote locations in the north of Scotland, where she immerses herself in rugged landscapes and unpredictable weather conditions. Going beyond visual perceptions, Helen’s works suggest full sensory experiences which blur the lines between horizon, sea, sky and land, capturing the memory of a single moment in place and time. The gallery’s remote location on the west coast seems the ideal place to showcase Glassford’s paintings. Famous for her expansive yet detailed land- and seascapes, Helen says, ‘To paint the landscape as I do means to interact with and explore the intimate and curiously infinite world. The lichens and mosses at our feet and the heavy skies above, the ground and roof to our world and everything in between’.
Works can be purchased in association with the Own Art purchasing scheme – a great way of supporting artists during a difficult time.
