Online, 19th – 20th June

Established in 2016, Screen.dance is Scotland’s Festival of Dance on Screen, combining choreography and moving image, connecting movement and cinema to create a hybrid form.

The Festival had been set to take over the vibrant Summerhall arts space in Edinburgh, bringing together artists, dancers, filmmakers and musicians, for a weekend of cultural events and screenings, but this year has moved online and will be presenting a digital programme, showcasing work from Scotland and beyond, connecting local, national and international artists and audiences to the screendance genre.

The festival is unique to Scotland and will present a curated programme of 42 short dance films from across the world alongside presentations from artists, debates and discussions exploring the relationship between dance, filmmaking, social justice.
