Scots take on the rest

The Scottish heat of the BBC2 TV programme Great British Menu has only one Scottish-based chef taking part. Mark Greenaway, the chef patron of Restaurant Mark Greenaway in Edinburgh’s Picardy Place, will be competing for the honour of producing an Olympic feast worthy of former Olympic medallists. The other Scottish chefs in Mark’s heat are Reading-based Michelin star chef Alan Murchison of L’Ortolan, and Colin Buchan, of Gordon Ramsay’s London’s restaurant, York & Albany. Great British menu starts on 9 April.
