A new exhibition at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh showcases photography, film, sculpture and painting by ten post-2018 graduates from major Scottish art schools, highlighting the diverse work being produced by emerging talents. Curator Siobhan McLaughlin, whose exhibition of Alan Davie was one of Dovecot’s highlights last year, has selected works which tackle the genre in a fresh way, including using movement, ritual and performance, to spark new conversations about the Scottish landscape. Many of the artists have chosen to explore landscape to interrogate issues ranging from sustainability, heritage and care, to isolation, labour and colonial history.
