Russia on tap

A Perth brewery is toasting its latest exports. Inveralmond Brewery has signed a deal to export four of its most popular beers to Russia. The deal will see Lia Fail, Ossian, Thrappledouser and Blackfriars available in what looks to be a growing market. Until 2012 Russia had considered beer a “soft” drink as it fell below 10 per cent alcohol limits. Now classified as alcoholic, beer has been soaring in popularity in Russia, with sales rising by more than 40 per cent.
