Online
Thoughts Are Free is the title of The Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts (RGI)‘s open online exhibition – the first such to be held across the RGI’s social media and website. An open call to RGI members has been posted, with a deadline of 30th June.
The theme is lockdown, which can be interpreted in any way desired, and the gallery is particularly interested in a variety of works and media (drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, mixed media).
The title comes from the German song Die Gedanken Sind Frei (Thoughts Are Free), used as a symbol of hope during troubling periods throughout history.
