Thoughts Are Free is the title of The Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts (RGI)‘s open online exhibition – the first such to be held across the RGI’s social media and website. An open call to RGI members was posted, and the exhibition is now available online.
The theme is lockdown, which can be interpreted in any way desired, and the gallery is particularly interested in a variety of works and media (drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, mixed media).
The title comes from the German song Die Gedanken Sind Frei (Thoughts Are Free), used as a symbol of hope during troubling periods throughout history.
