London-based artist Renee Rilexie experiences synaesthesia – the mental conflation of senses such as sound, sight and taste, and her latest work Euphoria is an invitation into her sensory world, mixing music, sound frequency, colour and pattern, in an expression about wellbeing, transcendence and healing. Her works are immersed in a sonic background of solfeggio frequency (vocal exercise using the sounds sol and fa) and drumming, evoking the heartbeat and brainwaves – something that Renee finds beneficial, connecting and liberating.
