[10th – 11th August]

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, this year’s Rattray Arts Festival will be opened officially by Sir Melville Jameson, who opened the inaugural Festival a decade ago, at the Rattray Hall, featuring work from invited professional artists and local artists.

This year’s featured artist is renowned potter John Townsend, and a programme of professional painters includes Keith Brown, Liz Dulley, Fiona Haldane, Lorraine Irvine, David Mackenzie, Janet McCrorie, Annie McLean, Jonathan Mitchell, Trevor Taylor, and Graham Wands. Famous wood sculptor Nigel Ross, stained glass artist Lesley Garside and jeweller Ricky Pitcherwill also take part.

The Festival forms a popular centrepiece of It’s BRAW! (9th – 16th August) – the week-long festival celebrating art, crafts, drama and music in the Blairgowrie and Rattray area.
