The Classical Stars series at Perth Concert Hall continues with the Montenegro-born Milos Karadaglic performing his homage to Spanish guitar virtuoso Andres Segovia with works by Sor, Bach, Albeniz and Villa-Lobos (24th Feb), the celebrated cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason with a programme featuring Bach, Britten, Brouwer and Simcock (16th March) and virtuoso saxophonist Jess Gillam and her ensemble playing Bernstein, C P E Bach, Meredith Monk and Philip Glass (16th May). 

The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra with Jennifer Pike features Khachaturian’s lush and romantic Spartacus played by the violinist was BBC Young Musician of the year at the age of 12 and has since then developed a major international career. Also featured are the threatening brass motifs, woodwinds and lush strings of Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony (18th Feb).

Part of the Lunchtime Concert series, Ben Goldscheider Play Brahms sees horn player and BBC Young Musician finalist play one of the composer’s most beautiful chamber works (27th Feb).
