Spring to Summer at White Fox Gallery in Coldstream is a mixed exhibition with two Gallery artists spearheading the show with new work: featured artist Patricia Sadler with ten abstract landscape paintings and Justine Miller with a collection of limited edition multimedia prints. A new artist to the Gallery is Hazel Battersby, whose abstract paintings were inspired by a trip to the Outer Hebrides last summer. She recalls.’The Isle of Harris is unlike anywhere else. The light is intense, constantly changing and enriching all colour on the island. The sea changes from turquoise to manganese to phthalo* blue and the ever-changing sky and moody weather create a playful dance of sunshine peeping through rain clouds.’ *blue-green

Other participating artists include painters Gill Walton, June Bell, Sheila Anderson Hardy and Clare Money, textile artist Elspeth Horsfield, ceramicists Lisa Ellul and Catherine Lucktaylor, master wood turner Tom Cooper and potter Richard Bideau.
