Now in its 25th year, Potfest Scotland once again transforms the lawns of Scone Palace near Perth into an artisan ceramics market, showcasing work by over 90 of the UK’s best ceramicists and potters. Housed in five large, open-sided marquees, the works range from large scale sculptural pieces and fine jewellery to functional domestic ware and contemporary, decorative pieces. All the pieces are for sale direct from the artists who made them, so you can talk to the creators and learn about their techniques and processes. All Covid-19 safety measures will be in place. You can also walk through the palace’s beautiful grounds and gardens, take in the magnificent Pinetum, pit your wits against the (in)famous Star Maze, lounge on the lawns or picnic in the wildflower meadow. Tours of the palace can be pre-booked through their website. Ticketed – adults £7 (includes admission to gardens), with accompanied under-16’s free.
