Following its highly successful editions in 2022 and 2023, Big Art Show is set to return for its third year to the Art Department at the Paisley Centre, Causeyside Street, and promises to be even bigger in 2024. The show is again organised by Outspoken Arts Scotland in conjunction with Art Paisley Ltd. and is set to feature thousands of artworks in the Art Department’s massive exhibition spaces of Gallery 1 on the ground floor and Gallery 2 on the first floor.

Last year’s Big Art Show attracted over 12,000 visitors from across Scotland and beyond, with over £40,000-worth of artworks sold, from a total of 1,712 entries, making it one of the largest shows in the UK. Alongside the Autumn exhibition programme [see panel], there will a supporting programme of three workshops a week in painting, drawing, printmaking, collage and mixed media, led by artists Marion Gardyne, Eoghann MacColl, Iona Kewney and Ann Vance, and free to attend.

Submissions for 2024 opened on 1st February [see here], welcoming work in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, textiles, performance and digital art.
