In Edinburgh’s Southside, Art & Craft Collective gallery is mounting an exhibition of paper sculpture and calligraphy for the first time, by Panna Chauchan. A highly-experienced calligrapher and paper sculptor, Panna’s show, Pages by Panna, is a mix of free-standing sculptures and wall-mounted pieces.
Panna will be in the Gallery for a special opening event between 2 and 3:30 on Saturday 2nd April, demonstrating calligraphy and paper sculpture and discussing her work and inspiration. The artist, whose name means ‘pages of a book’ in Gujarati, says, ‘I am a calligrapher and visual artist, using my love of the written word and languages to express myself.’
