The Nomads Tent is presenting a month long celebration of Ottoman culture which includes their 5th Annual Symposium; Travellers and Treasures of the Ottoman World, featuring Balkan, folk and Klezmer performances, an evening of authentic classical Ottoman music, and the poetry and stories of Rumi.

The festival will also offer a glimpse into the stores of the National Museum of Scotland, and present a selling exhibition of Turkish Iznik pottery, kilims and rugs that runs throughout the Ottoman Horizons festival. At the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, in connection with Ottoman Horizons, there will be a major ASTENE seminar on The Botanical Legacy of the Ottomans.
